American actress. Name variations: Cora Urquhart, Mrs. Brown Potter, Mrs. Brown-Potter. Born Cora Urquhart, May 15, 1857, in New Orleans, LA; died Feb 12, 1936; m. James Brown-Potter (div. 1903).
Made stage debut in Brighton as Faustine de Bressier in Civil War, London debut in Man and Wife, and NY debut in Civil War (all 1887); other plays include Hero and Leander, Charlotte Corday (title role), The Lady of Lyons, The Musketeers, Ulysses, Cavalleria Rusticana and Du Barri (title role); assumed management of the Savoy (1904).
