American classical Indian dancer. Born c. 1950 in Chappaqua, NY; died Sept 21, 1978, in London; m. Nedd Williard.
Studied classical Indian dance at University of Wisconsin, University of Delhi, and with teachers throughout India; throughout the world, performed solo recitals in Bharata Natyam, considered the oldest and most important of 8 Indian classical dance styles.
