Harrower, Elizabeth (1928–)
Australian novelist. Born 1928 in Sydney, Australia; grew up in Newcastle.
Lived in London (1951–59) and on return to Australia worked for Australian Broadcasting Commission; wrote reviews for Sydney Morning Herald; works include Down in the City (1957), The Long Prospect (1958), The Catherine Wheel (1960), and The Watch Tower (1966). Won Patrick White Literary Award (1996).
