English track-and-field athlete. Name variations: Maureen Dyson. Born Maureen Angela Gardner, Nov 12, 1928, in Oxford, England; died Sept 1974; m. Geoffrey Dyson (Olympic coach).

Broke the British 80-meter hurdles record, 1st at Chadwick in the National championships, then later in Paris, Luxemburg, and Motspur Park all within one week (1947); won the silver medal in the 80-meter hurdles at London Olympics (1948).
