Galigaï, Leonora (c. 1570–1617)
Accused of witchcraft. Name variations: Leonora Galigai or Gallegai. Born around 1570; tried and executed in 1617; m. Concino Concini, marshal of Ancre.
Close friend and maid of Marie de Medici, fell victim to the political rivalries between her mistress, the king, and certain lords (1617); was accused of witchcraft and executed on the grounds of cures she took against her constant bad health.
