American politician. Born Feb 11, 1925; died July 28, 2001, in Topeka, Kansas; m. Spencer Finney; children: 3, including Mary Holladay.
The 1st woman to be governor of Kansas, spent 16 years as state treasurer; as a Democrat, served one term as governor (1991–95), but did not seek reelection; lost a US Senate primary (1996).
