Dunn, Barbara (c. 1910–)

English amateur radio operator. Born c. 1910 in England.

The 1st woman amateur radio operator, earned a radio transmission license (1927) and was the sole female amateur radio operator during a brief period (1927–32); operated an active Essex-based low-power station at Stock with call sign G6YL; served as member of Radio Society of Great Britain; was the 1st woman to earn a Radio Society trophy.
