Australian swimmer and journalist. Born June 1928 in Melbourne, Australia.

Won the bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke in the London Olympics (1948); held 18 Australian championships; won 3 gold medals at Commonwealth Games (1950); became a sports journalist, covering Olympics (1956–88).
