British poet and milliner. Born 1687 in Malmsbury, Wiltshire, England; died Sept 11, 1745, in Bath, Gloucestershire, England; dau. of Henry Chandler (Dissenting minister) and Miss Bridgman of Marlborough.
Tended millinery shop in Bath; in spare time, wrote poetry which showed the influence of Alexander Pope and the Roman poet Horace; wrote A Description of Bath: A Poem (1733).
