Canadian politician. Born Oct 4, 1918, in Westmorland, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Was the 1st woman to sit in the Prince Edward Island Legislative Assembly (1970); was the 1st woman to be appointed to the Provincial Cabinet (1972–74), as Minister without Portfolio and Minister Responsible for P.E.I. Housing Authority. Awarded Queen's Jubilee Medal (1977).
