New Zealand photographer. Born May 9, 1878, at Tumai, Otago, New Zealand; died at sea, June 8, 1939; dau. of John Channing Buckland and Caroline (Fairburn) Buckland.
With family, provided photographic services to community and documented rural life in New Zealand at end of 19th century; had several photographs published in Auckland Weekly News. Buckland family albums held by the Hocken Library, Dunedin.
