At 19, moved to Eretz-Israel; went to France to study agriculture (1913), then to Russia where she contacted tuberculosis; returned to Eretz-Israel (1919); wrote about pioneering life in Jordan valley; works include Saphiach (1927), Mineged (1930), Nevo (1932) and Shirat Rachel (1961).
