Made stage debut at Deutsches Theater, Berlin (1895); sang Hansel in the premiere of Hansel and Gretel at the Metropolitan Opera (1905); made 1st appearance on English-speaking stage in NY (1906) as Ilsa in The Student King; played Sonia in The Merry Widow, Nellie Vaughan in The Love Cure, Yvonne (her most famous role) in Madame Sherry and Princess von Auen in The Silver Swan.
