Julius Firmius Maternus

Roman notary under Constantine the Great and astrological scholar who compiled an astrological work entitled Mathematics, or the power and the influence of the stars composed of eight books. The work provided a comprehensive reference to astrology and became a standard authoritative source on the subject until the sixteenth century.
