Mucuna
Mucuna (family Leguminosae, sub-family Papilionatae) A genus of climbers, most of which have showy flowers in long racemes. Several have pods with irritant hairs. M. bennettii (and others with red flowers) are the New Guinea creepers, extensively planted as ornamentals. There are about 100 species, occurring in the tropics and subtropics.
