Lindemans efficiency
Lindeman's efficiency The ratio of energy assimilated at one trophic level to that assimilated at the preceding trophic level; the ratio of energy intake at successive trophic levels. Described by R. L. Lindeman in a paper published in Ecology in 1942, it is one of the earliest and most widely applied measures of ecological efficiency.
