Hepsetidae
Hepsetidae (pike characin; subclass Actinopterygii, order Cypriniformes) A monospecific family (Hepsetus odoe) of freshwater fish that has an elongate, pike-like body, a large mouth, a forked tail fin, and the dorsal and anal fins placed well back. It is voracious and may grow to 1.8 kg. It occurs in tropical Africa.
