Eupantotheria (subclass Theria, infra-class Pantotheria) An order of extinct mammals, known from the Jurassic of N. America and Europe and in its earliest, Middle Jurassic, form (Amphitherium) only from the lower jaw. The jaw identifies it as mammalian, and possibly ancestral to later pantotheres.
