YAMIM NORA'IM
YAMIM NORA'IM (Heb. יָמִים נוֹרָאִים; "Days of Awe"), a term applied to the period from the first day of *Rosh Ha-Shanah until the *Day of Atonement and more particularly to these two festivals. This period is more commonly referred to as the *Ten Days of Penitence. Yamim Nora'im is also the title of a compilation on the subject by S.Y. *Agnon.
