BENJAMIN, YEHOSHUA
BENJAMIN, YEHOSHUA (1920–), Indian government official and scholar. Born in Lonavla, Maharashtra, of the *Bene-Israel community, by the time he retired he was the chief architect of India's Ministry of Works and Housing. His scholarly interests are reflected in his book The Mystery of the Lost Tribes (New Delhi, 1989).
