Jetavana
Jetavana (Skt., Jeta or Jetri + vana, ‘wood’). A grove on the outskirts of Śrāvastī, the capital city of Kośala, often frequented by the Buddha. In many of the important dialogues, the Buddha is described as residing in the Jetavana grove.
The Jetavana dāgaba in Śri Lankā, 370 feet in diameter, is the largest dāgaba in existence. A splinter sect of the Theravāda, the Jetavanīyas (formed 4th cent. CE, reabsorbed 12th cent.) take their name from this dāgaba.
