Nebitdag
Nebitdag or Nebit-Dag (both: nyĬbēt´däk), city (1989 pop. 89,100), W Turkmenistan, at the southern foot of the Greater Balkan range. On the Trans-Caspian RR, it is an industrial center of a region yielding oil and natural gas. The city was founded in 1933 and was called Nefte-Dag until the late 1930s.
