American Cemetery
American Cemetery (Cambs.). The American Cemetery, 2 miles west of Cambridge, is the resting place of more than 3,000 combatants, many of them bomber crews operating from East Anglia, who were killed in the Second World War. On a gentle slope, overlooking the valley of the Ouse, the land was given by the University of Cambridge.
