Johnson, Amy (1903–41) English pilot, the first woman to fly solo from Britain to Australia (1930). In 1932 Johnson broke the record held by her husband, James Mollinson, for a solo flight to the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. During World War II, she was a pilot in the Air Transport Auxillary.
