National Geophysics Scholarships (Postgraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support undergraduate students enrolled in mining related or earth science programs in Canadian universities. Focus: Earth sciences, Mining. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently registered in third year geophysics; must be undergraduate students who have attained the highest academic average on completion of their year in an accredited geophysics program at a qualified Canadian university. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on academic standing and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Application must include: student's name; official transcript of the student's marks (including his/her third year marks); student's sessional and permanent home addresses; student's social insurance number; professor's recommendations; and other scholarships, bursaries or awards that the student has applied for and received. Application forms and other documents must be submitted to the chairperson of the Awards Committee, Women's Association of the Mining Industry of Canada Foundation, PO Box 207, Postal Station A, Toronto, ON M5W 1B2. Deadline: June 4.
