Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist students enrolled in broadcasting-related educational programs at four-year public or private colleges and universities. Focus: Broadcasting. Qualif.: Applicants must have completed 60 credits and must be majoring in broadcasting, communications, or related field at a four-year public or private college or university; must have Wisconsin connection in that they must have either graduated from a Wisconsin high school or be attending a Wisconsin college or university; and must be planning a career in radio or television broadcasting. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and quality of the essay.
Funds Avail.: $2,000. Number Awarded: 4. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; a current official transcript of college/university grades; two brief letters of recommendation supporting the application; maximum of three pages, original, typed, double-spaced essay written by the applicant forecasting what the broadcasting industry will be like in five years and how the applicant believes he or she will contribute to radio or television during that time.
