Description: Independent, 4-year, coed. Part of Ana G. Mendez University System. Awards associate and bachelor's degrees. Founded 1949. Setting: small town campus with easy access to San Juan. Total enrollment: 7,077. 4,172 applied, 54% were admitted. Full-time: 5,423 students, 66% women, 34% men. Part-time: 1,654 students, 65% women, 35% men. 100% Hispanic, 36% 25 or older, 6% transferred in. Retention: 65% of 2003 full-time freshmen returned.
