White House Fellows (Professional Development/Fellowship)
Purpose: To provide gifted and highly motivated young Americans with some first hand experience in the process of governing the Nation and a sense of personal involvement in the leadership of society. To enhance the leadership and other learning experiences in the work assignment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen; must be a employees of the federal government are not eligible unless they are career military personnel; must have completed their undergraduate education and be working in their chosen professions. Criteria: Selection of applicant will be based on the following criteria: (1) A record of remarkable professional achievement early in one's career; (2) Evidence of leadership skills and the potential for further growth; (3) A demonstrated commitment to public service; (4) The knowledge and skills necessary to contribute successfully at the highest levels of the federal government.
