Bergman Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to Farmers Union Torch-bearers. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be receiving Torchbearer award at the upcoming Farmers Union State Convention; must have at least 2.50 grade point average. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievement.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply:

Applicants must submit all the required application information. Deadline: November 17.

Farmers Union Marketing and Processing Foundation Stanley Moore Scholarships Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for deserving students to further their college education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Farmers Union members and their children in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and Wisconsin; must be high school seniors, college students or non-traditional students seeking funding to attend a two- or four-year accredited college or university or technical school for any area of study. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic record; social and community activities; essay or oral speech (video); and, final interview.

Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a

completed application form; copy of high school/college transcripts; letters of recommendation from a Farmer Union leader and from a teacher or professor; written essay -three pages. Deadline: June 2.

Remarks: Scholarship will be awarded with money to be used for tuition and books.

Stanley Moore Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for students who deserve to pursue college but financially constrained. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Farmers Union members, high school seniors, college students or nontraditional students seeking funding to attend a two- or four-year accredited college, university or technical school for any area of study. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic achievement; social and community involvement; an essay; and phone interview.

Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit completed application; essay; grade transcripts and letters of recommendation. Deadline: April 17.

North Dakota Farmers Union Agricultural Studies Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for students who deserve to pursue college but financially constrained. Focus: Agricultural sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be first or second year students in an agricultural two-year program; must be enrolled in a school located at the Cenex Harvest States market area where curriculum is approved by the U.S. office of Education. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on criteria designed by the scholarship selection committee.

Funds Avail.: $750. To Apply: Applicants must submit all the required application information. Deadline: March 1.

North Dakota Farmers Union Co-op House Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students planning to enroll as freshmen at North Dakota State University. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must plan to enroll as freshmen at North Dakota State University; must be Farmers Union members, relatives of past Co-op House members or members of a cooperative; must have at least 2.50 grade point average during the last three years of high school. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic performance and financial need.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit all the required application information.

North Dakota Farmers Union Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial to first-year or undergraduate students enrolled in a secondary educational facility. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be pursuing a career important to rural America, but not limited to agribusiness, farm operation or production agriculture; must be high school seniors and college undergraduates who have at least 2.50 grade point average during the last three years of schooling. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic merit and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application; financial information; letters of recommendation; and, grade transcript. Deadline: January 31.

Hubert K. Seymour Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for students who deserve to pursue college but are financially constrained. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Farmers' Union members, graduating high school seniors enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic record; social and community activities; written essay; and, final phone interview.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; copy of high school transcript; two letters of recommendation - one from a Farmers Union leader and one from a school counselor or teacher; an essay, identifying and discussing the significance of rural values in America and on their life. Deadline: February 15.
