Description:

Independent United Methodist, 4-year, coed. Awards associate and bachelor's degrees. Founded 1846. Setting: 60-acre small town campus. Endowment: $12.1 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $5745 per student. Total enrollment: 667. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 12:1. 1,598 applied, 50% were admitted. 10% from top 10% of their high school class, 30% from top quarter, 47% from top half. 2 valedictorians. Full-time: 613 students, 58% women, 42% men. Part-time: 54 students, 74% women, 26% men. Collegiate Environment:

Orientation program. Drama-theater group, choral group, student-run newspaper.
