Kosciuszko Foundation Graduate Study and Research in Poland Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the graduate level research at universities in Poland by American graduate students and university faculty members. Focus: Polish studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be a United States citizens with permanent residency status in the U.S. who are graduate level students; must possess proficiency in the Polish language. Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, motivation and need to pursue research in Poland, and a clear and a well-defined research proposal. The host institution must fall under the jurisdiction of the Polish Ministry of Education and Sports.

Funds Avail.: Scholarship provides a stipend for dormitory housing and living expenses. To Apply: Applicant must complete the Polish Ministry of National Education application entitled Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange; must provide an abstract of the project proposal; must attach copies of study certificates such as the level of language proficiency; must have two letters of recommendation from professor; must submit a letter of invitation from the University/Institute in Poland where research is conducted; must have two passport-size photos with printed name on the reverse. Deadline: January 15.

Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support American students of Polish descent for full-time graduate studies in the United States. Focus: Polish studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident of Polish descent who are beginning or continuing graduate studies in the academic year; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, applicants academic achievements, interests and motivation, applicants interest in polish subjects or involvement in the Polish American community. Financial need is taken into consideration.

Funds Avail.: $1,000 to $7,000. To Apply: Applicant must complete the Tuition Scholarship application form and Financial Information page (application may be obtained from the Kosciuszko Foundation); must submit a personal statement about their academic goals, career goals, and the major they are pursuing and area of specialization; must have two passport photos for publication purposes; must have the official transcript; must prepare two confidential letters of academic reference from professors/teachers submitted on letterhead; must provide proof of Polish ancestry. Deadline: January 15.

Kosciuszko Foundation Year Abroad Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the deserving students to continue their Polish language studies. Focus: Polish studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a United States citizen and permanent resident of Polish descent who are undergraduate sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, motivation for pursuing Polish studies, interest in Polish subjects and involvement in the Polish American community.

Funds Avail.: Scholarship includes acceptance to the program, a tuition waiver and a stipend for housing and living expenses. To Apply: Applicant must complete the Polish Ministry of National Education application entitled Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange; must attach copies of transcripts of records; must submit two letters of recommendation from professors and must have two passport size photos with printed name on the reverse. Massachusetts Federation of Polish Women's Clubs Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the qualified residents of Massachusetts to pursue their education. Focus: Polish studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or Polish citizens with permanent residency status in the United States residing in Massachusetts who will engage in second, third or fourth year of undergraduate studies during academic year; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, the applicant's academic achievements, interests, motivation, interest in Polish subjects and involvement in the Polish American community. Financial need is taken into consideration.

Funds Avail.: $1,250. To Apply: Applicant must complete the scholarship application form and financial information page; must submit a personal statement about their academic goals, career goals and specialization; must have a two passport size photos for publication purposes; must submit a official transcripts; must have two confidential letters of academic reference from professor and teachers; must provide proof of Polish ancestry. Deadline: January 15.

Polish American Club of North Jersey Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to qualified students in the United States. Focus: Polish studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or Polish citizens with permanent residency status in the U.S who are active members of the Polish American Club of North Jersey; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0; must be children or grandchildren of club members. Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, the applicant's academic achievements, interests, motivation, interest in Polish subjects and involvement in the Polish American community. Financial need is taken into consideration.

Funds Avail.: $500-$2,000. To Apply: Applicant must complete the scholarship application form and financial information page; must have a personal statement about

their academic goals, career goals and specialization; must have two passport photos for publication purposes; must submit an official transcript; must prepare a two confidential letters of academic reference from professor and teachers; must provide a proof of Polish ancestry. Deadline: January 15.

Polish National Alliance of Brooklyn, USA Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified students wanting to pursue their studies in United States. Focus: Polish studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or Polish citizens with permanent residency status in the U.S. who are members in good standing of the Polish National Alliance of Brooklyn, USA and the Polish National Alliance of the United States of North America; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, the applicant's academic achievements, interests, motivation, interest in Polish subjects and involvement in the Polish American community. Financial need is taken into consideration.

To Apply: Applicant must complete the scholarship application form and financial information page; must submit a personal statement about their academic goals, career goals and the major expect to pursue; must have a two passport photos for publication purposes; must have two confidential letters of academic reference; must have a official transcript of record; must have two letters of academic reference from professor and teachers; must provide a proof of Polish ancestry. Deadline: January 15.

Dr. Marie E. Zakrzewski Medical Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the young women of Polish ancestry in their education. Focus: Polish studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen of Polish descent or Polish citizens with permanent residency status in United States who are entering first, second or third year of M.D. studies in academic year; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0; must be a female Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, applicants academic achievements, interest, motivation, interest in Polish subjects and involvement in the Polish American Community. Financial need is taken into consideration and preference is given to residents of the state of Massachusetts.

Funds Avail.: $3,500. To Apply: Applicant must submit a personal statement about the academic goals, career goals and area of specialization; must have a two passport sized photos for publication purposes; must have an official transcript and two confidential letters of academic reference from professors and teachers; must provide a proof of Polish ancestry.
