IFDA Educational Foundation (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To foster educational and philanthropic activities which will benefit individuals and institutions; to promote, develop or enhance the furnishings and design industries and the practice of the professions. Focus: Architectural Lighting Design. Qualif.: Applicant must be attending the college education majoring in lighting designs. Criteria: Committee will review the application based on the uniqueness and creativity of work.

Funds Avail.: No. 1500. To Apply: An applicant must submit an official transcript of records verifying an students enrollment and GPA; a letter of recommendation from a design educator; four copies of an essay describing personal long and short term goals, award and achievements in no more than 300-400 words; four copies of two digital photos of students own original work preferably in color or in one page; Ruth Clark Furniture design Scholarship requires five different original furniture designs; and recommendation from IFDA member. Deadline: March 31.

IFDA Part-time Student Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: to promote, develop, or enhance the furnishings and design industries and the practice of these professions. Focus: Part-time students. Qualif.: All applicants must have completed four courses in interior design or related field; he/she must be enrolled as a part-time student and be currently enrolled in at least two courses. Criteria: .

Funds Avail.: Number Awarded: To Apply: Applicant must submit a certified, sealed transcript of course work that verifies enrollment with GPA. It may be sent by the school or college; a separate letter of recommendation from a professor or instructor on official school stationery; four copies of 300-400 word essay explaining long and short-term goals, achievements, awards or accomplishments; four digital copies of two photos of the student’s original work preferably on one-page and in color; four copies of completed application form.
