Florida Association District of Nursing Administration Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to individuals in nursing looking to continue their education in the LTC setting. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently licensed registered nurses, LPN or certified nursing assistants; must be currently enrolled or accepted in a RN, LPN or undergraduate health care program; or be currently accepted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or master's program in nursing or gerontology program; must have at least two years employment history in long-term care. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and experience in a health care program.

Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; must submit a list of employers and dates of employment.

Imogene Ward Nursing Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to individuals in nursing looking to continue their education in the LTC setting. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be pursuing education to become registered nurses; must be enrolled in an accredited Florida Nursing program; must be willing to pledge a minimum of two years, working full-time in long-term care in the state of Florida. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on demonstrated determination to overcome personal and/or professional obstacles to pursue nursing education, track record of excellence and the potential for future leadership in long-term care.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form including name and full contact information; must submit a 300-word or less narrative essay which outlines what it takes to be an exceptional nurse and also expresses reasons they should be considered for the Imogene Ward Nursing Scholarship Award.
