Sandra Sebrell Bailey Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a junior or senior woman who has been an initiated member at least one year and is in good standing. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated based on academic achievements, financial need, campus leadership and activities, and services to Delta Zeta. Preference will be given to those members entering the field of education.

Funds Avail.: $1,000-$2,500. To Apply: Scholarship applications are available on the website and must be completed properly. Applicant must have the FAFSA reply form. Deadline: February 15.

Charline Chilson Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for qualified graduate students. Focus: Science. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Delta Zeta member in good standing; must be in their junior or senior year or as graduate students; must have a high grade point in their major; must show financial need; must have a history of active leadership and participation in Delta Zeta activities; and must have a commitment to a degree in science. Criteria: Applicants will be selected based on academic achievements and financial need.

Arlene Davis Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: Aviation. Qualif.: Applicant must be an initiated, active, continuing member entering her sophomore or junior year, who is enrolled in courses

showing an interest in aviation; must have a 3.0 grade average. Criteria: Candidates will be selected based on academic standing and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,000-$2,500. To Apply: Scholarship applications are available on the website and must be completed properly. Applicant must have the FAFSA reply form. Deadline: February 15.

Delta Zeta Undergraduate Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be an initiated, active, continuing member of Delta Zeta entering junior or senior year; must be outstanding in campus and chapter activities, and have maintained at least a B average (3.0). Criteria: Scholarship applications will be reviewed and evaluated by the committee. Recommendation for scholarship recipients will be made by the scholarship committees to the Foundation Board of Trustees for final selection.

Elizabeth M. Gruber Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate student. Focus: Liberal arts. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Delta Zeta graduate student working toward a degree in a liberal arts area. Criteria: Preference will be given to an Alpha Beta Chapter member or to a Delta Zeta attending a university in the Midwest.

Funds Avail.: $1,000-$15,000. To Apply: Applicant must provide a transcript of record; must submit a statement indicating their special service to Delta Zeta, activities and/or community involvement, academic honors and/or honor societies, and personal statement about their need and desire to get the award; must have a list of employment records and at least two recommendation letter from a Delta Zeta (Alumnae Chapter President, College Chapter Director, and/or Regional Collegiate Coordinator), and one from Academic Graduate Advisor and/or Employer. Deadline: February 15.

Edith Head Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: Fashion design. Qualif.: Applicant must be an initiated, active, continuing member of Delta Zeta pursuing a course study leading to a career in design, production, and merchandising of textile and apparel products, and/or costume design; must be a junior or senior student, graduate level, or a professional school which offers fashion merchandising, textiles, and clothing or costume design; must have at least a 3.0 average. Criteria: Candidates will be selected based on their academic standing and financial need.

Lavonne Heghinian Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be an initiated, active, continuing member of Delta Zeta in need of financial assistance; must have a 3.0 average. Criteria: Application will be evaluated based on the sorority service, campus involvement and employment. Preference will be given to Southern California applicants in accordance with Mrs. Heghinian’s will.

Houston/Nancy Holliman Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: Speech and language pathology/audiology; Hearing and deafness; Allied health. Qualif.: Applicant must be a junior or senior active, continuing member majoring in hearing and speech, audiology or an allied field; must have an academic achievements (maintaining a 3.0 average), campus honors and activities, and service to Delta Zeta. Criteria: Candidates will be selected based on academic standing, honors, and financial need.

Sarah Jane Houston Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: Education, English as a second language. Qualif.: Applicant must be an undergraduate Delta Zeta member in good standing with 3.0 or higher grade point average; must have a major field in English or in related fields such as speech, debate, drama, theater, or education. Criteria: Applicants from Delta Zeta chapters in Illinois will be given preferences if all other qualifications are equal. Applicants will be evaluated based on academic achievements and campus activities.

Huenefeld/Denton Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: Child development, Education, Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Applicant must be a junior or senior initiated, active continuing members in need of financial help, seeking an undergraduate degree in child development/primary education or library science. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievements, campus activities, and service to Delta Zeta.

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: Museum science. Qualif.:

Applicant must be an initiated, continuing member of Delta Zeta pursuing a course of study that could lead to a career in museum work; must be entering his/her junior or senior year or graduate level; must have a financial need and have at least 3.0 average. Criteria: Selection of candidates will be based on academic achievements, and campus activities.

Qualif.: Applicant must be an initiated member in need of financial assistance; must have at least a B average (3.0); must be outstanding in undergraduate campus activities and in special service and leadership to Delta Zeta chapter. Criteria: Selection of applicant will be based on financial need and academic achievements.

John L. and Eleanore I. Mckinley Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a junior or senior Delta Zeta member in good standing; must have earned a B or better average at the conclusion of their sophomore year; must have achieved a high level of service to the Delta Zeta Sorority and her college community. Purpose: To assist qualified female students in pursuing an education. Focus: Speech and language pathology/audiology; Allied health. Dorothy Worden Ronken Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified graduate students. Focus: Education, Business. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Delta Zeta graduate student working on a degree in education or business; must be a initiated continuing member in good standing in a collegiate chapter with 3.0 cumulative grade average. Criteria: Preference will be given to applicants from the Alpha Alpha chapter of Northwestern University.

Funds Avail.: Amount of the awards may vary depending upon the fund earnings. To Apply: Applicant must provide a transcript of record; must submit a statement indicating their special service to Delta Zeta, activities and/or community involvement, academic honors and/or honor societies, and personal statement about need and desire to get the award; must have a list of employment records and at least two recommendation letters from a Delta Zeta (Alumnae Chapter President, College Chapter Director, and/or Regional Collegiate Coordinator), and one from Academic Graduate Advisor and/or employer. Elizabeth Coulter Stephenson Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be outstanding in campus and chapter activities; must have held, or must currently hold, an executive board position; must have at least 3.0 average; must have been adversely affected, or parents have been adversely affected by a disaster. Criteria: Preference will be given to initiated, active, continuing members of Delta Zeta in their junior or senior year who need a financial assistant.

Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Application forms are available in the website. Applicant must provide the official transcript; must have statement about special service to Delta Zeta, campus activities and/or community involvement, and academic honors; must have the list of employment record; must submit a recommendation letter from the college chapter director (CCD) and if chapter has no CCD, a letter from RCC will suffice. Thornberg/Havens Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to all qualified undergraduate students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be an undergraduate and/or graduate Delta Zeta in good standing; must be an initiated member in need of financial assistance who has shown outstanding campus and chapter activities; must have at least 3.0 undergraduate average. Criteria: Candidates will be selected based on their academic standing and financial need.
