Black Data Processing Associates Scholarships (High School/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide outstanding minority students financial assistance in pursuing an information technology-related degree at an accredited two or four-year college or university of their choice. Focus: Information science and technology. Qualif.: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents and graduating high school seniors at the time of their application; must be pursuing an information technology-related degree at an accredited two or four-year college or university; must be student members of BDPA and participate in computer training activities. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic excellence; exceptional leadership potential; and impact through service to their communities.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. Number Awarded: 6. To Apply: Applicants must submit the completed application form; high school transcript; two 500-word essays explaining why information technology is important and the importance of personal commitment in giving back to your community; and two letters of recommendation. Deadline: May 28.
