APIASF Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support and encourage all Asian and Pacific Islander American students to pursue higher education by developing future leaders who will contribute back to their communities. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by 2000 census; a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, legal permanent resident or a citizen of the Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands or the Republic of Palau; a first-time, incoming college student; enrolled full-time in a two or four-year program at a U.S. accredited college or university in the U.S., Guam, American Samoa, or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands for the coming school year. (In the Freely Associated States, this includes the Community Colleges of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Marshall Islands and the Republic of Palau.) Applicants must have cumulative, unweighted grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Criteria: Recipient is selected based on academic record and future plans; community service and leadership; and financial need.
