California Bar Foundation Diversity Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support newly admitted law students from groups historically underrepresented in the legal profession, who have committed to attend California Law School. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be students of California law school and come from racial or ethnic groups that are underrepresented in the legal profession; must have financial need; and must demonstrate leadership in making a positive impact to the community. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: $7,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit two current letters of recommendation; certification and authorization form; evidence of acceptance to law school; resume; one-page between 250-400 words personal statement; undergraduate transcript; evidence of financial need;

Qualif.: Applicants must be law students who are committed to advocating and improving their communities. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on submitted requirements and quality of the personal statement.

To Apply: Applicants must submit completed application form; resume; personal statement of no more than three pages, double-spaced describing the perception in facing the Asian American community, including the role in advocating or engaging in such issues and experiences in overcoming the economic or other discriminatory barriers.
