Kamsetzer, Jan Chrystian (1753–95). Important Neo-Classical architect. He worked in the Poland of King Stanisław Poniatowski (1764–95), designing a number of stylish interiors at the Royal Palace, Warsaw (1777–82), and Mielżyńskich Palace, Pawłowice (1789–92), and collaborated with Merlini on the exquisite łazienki Palace, Warsaw (1784–93). Kamsetzer designed the austere Roman Doric Guard-House, Poznań (1787), the Tyszkiewicz Palace, Warsaw (1785–92), and the robust and severe Church of St Dorothy, Petrykozy (1791–5).
