Griffith, John

Griffith, John (1796–1888). English architect. He is remembered for his designs for the Greek Revival buildings at the General Cemetery of All Souls, Kensal Green, London (consecrated 1833), including the Ionic Dissenters' Chapel (1833–4), the Doric Anglican Chapel, catacomb, and colonnades (1836–8), the Terrace catacomb and colonnade (1832–3), the wall and railings surrounding the ground (with gates), the arched entrance-gate and lodges (1833–4), and the overall layout and planting of the grounds.
