isosorbide dinitrate (I-soh-sor-byd dy-ny-trayt) n. a drug used for the treatment of angina (see vasodilator). It is administered orally, by injection, as a sublingual spray or tablets, or as a transdermal spray. Trade names: Angitak, Cedocard Retard, Isoket, Isoket Retard.
