antilymphocyte serum (antilymphocyte globulin, ALS, ALG) (anti-lim-foh-syt) n. an antiserum containing antibodies that suppress lymphocytic activity. ALS may be given to prevent the immune reaction that causes tissue rejection following transplantation of organs (e.g. kidneys) or bone marrow.
