Tsvetanov,Tsvetan

Tsvetanov, Tsvetan, Bulgarian composer and teacher; b. Sofia, Nov. 6,1931; d. Paris, April 4,1982. He studied composition with Hadzhiev and Vladigerov at the Bulgarian State Cons. in Sofia (graduated, 1956); in 1958 he joined its faculty, becoming a prof, in composition and harmony in 1976; also was its rector (1976-80). He served as secretary of the Union of Bulgarian Composers (1969-75; 1976-80).
