Thursfield, Anne (née Reman)
Thursfield, Anne (née Reman), English mezzo-soprano; b. N.Y, March 28, 1885; d. London, June 5, 1945. She received her training principally in Berlin, and then developed a fine concert career in England. Thurs-field’s interpretations of the song literature were particularly admired for their insight in and handling of both German and French texts, as well as those in her native English tongue.
