Senn, Kurt Wolfgang
Senn, Kurt Wolfgang, Swiss organist, pedagogue, and music editor; b. Szczakow, Poland, March 11, 1905; d. Bern, June 25, 1965. He studied at the Basel Cons. and with Sträube in Leipzig (1923–29). He was organist in Elgg and Thalwil (1929–38), and also taught at the Zürich Academy of Music. From 1938 until his death he was organist at the Bern Cathedral. He also taught church music at the Univ. and organ at the Cons. in Bern. As a recitalist, Senn made many tours. He ed. many scores for performance.
