Piozzi, Gabriel(e Mario)
Piozzi, Gabriel(e Mario), lp;16qtalian tenor, keyboard player, teacher, and composer; b. Quinzano, June 8, 1740; d. Dymerchion, North Wales, March 26, 1809. He found a patron in the Marquis d’Araciel of Milan, and subsequently was active as a singer in Europe until settling in England about 1776. In 1784 he married the widow of Henry Thrale. Among his works were string quartets, piano quartets, violin sonatas, and canzonets .
