Pini-Corsi, Antonio (b Zara (now Zadar), Dalmatia, 1858; d Milan, 1918). It. baritone. Début Cremona 1878 (Dandini in La Cenerentola). La Scala début 1893 (Rigoletto), then chosen by Verdi to create role of Ford in Falstaff, Milan 1893. Sang at CG 1894–6, 1902–3; NY Met 1899–1914. Created Schaunard in La bohème (Turin, 1896), Happy in La fanciulla del West (NY, 1910), and Innkeeper in Königskinder (NY 1910). Last sang in 1917 in Milan.
