Obretenov, Svetoslav
Obretenov, Svetoslav, Bulgarian choral conductor and composer; b. Provadia, Nov. 25, 1909; d. Sofia, May 16, 1955. He studied at the Sofia Cons., then was active as a choral conductor. He wrote mostly for chorus; his oratorio The Partisans was performed for the first time in Sofia on June 25, 1949.
