Müller, George Godfrey (actually, Georg Gottfried)
Müller, George Godfrey (actually, Georg Gottfried), German-American minister, violinist, and composer; b. Gross Hennersdorf, Saxony, May 22, 1762; d. Lititz, Pa., March 19,1821. He went to America in 1784, and spent the major part of his life at Lititz, as a member of the culturally important group of Moravians in America. His works are listed by A.G. Rau and H.T. David in A Catalogue of Music by American Moravians (Bethlehem, Pa., 1938), and his music is represented in Vol. I of the series Music by the Moravians in America (1938).
