Mononen, Sakari (Tuomo)
Mononen, Sakari (Tuomo), Finnish organist, teacher, and composer; b. Korpiselkä, July 27, 1928; d. Espoo, June 7, 1997. He studied composition with Fougstedt and Englund at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (graduated, 1962), and then was active mainly as an organist and teacher. He composed orch. works, chamber music, and vocal pieces.
