Mainardi, Enrico

Mainardi, Enrico, Italian cellist, teacher, and composer; b. Milan, May 19, 1897; d. Munich, April 10, 1976. He studied cello and composition at the Milan Cons, (graduated, 1920), cello with H. Becker in Berlin, and composition with Malipiero in Venice. He made tours of Europe, both as a soloist and a chamber music player.
